We have some lovely new Christmas papers in. My Mind’s Eye have two Christmas ranges this year. Jolly Holly is a traditional range with aged effect vintage reds and greens. “I Believe” is a more modern range with soft blue backgrounds and little Christmas trees and reindeer. Both are lovely and there are coordinating stamps to go with them. Arriving soon are two Bo-Bunny ranges and new Inkadinkadoo Christmas stamps. We also have some new Penny Black Christmas stamps including my favourite “A Wish for Peace” as used in these samples.

Irene Ruddy and Jean Batchelor are starting a new craft club. As I will no longer be running regular workshops, this club will be an oppertunity for people to keep in touch with friends made through Stampaholics. The initial plan is to hold it once a month at the Tulloch community centre in Perth.
There will be a meeting on 19th September from 12 noon to 3pm to discuss what people would like in terms of time and activites etc.
If you want any information please e-mail Irene. We did have lots of you e-mail addresses on a database, but a few months ago my computer hard drive failed and I lost everything on it. So if you are speaking to anyone that might be interested please ask them to get in touch with Irene or Jean (although Jean is away for the next couple of weeks).

As many of our customers already know I have decided to give up running Stampaholics. I have run the shop and an intensive program of workshops over the last eight years. But to do this I have had very little time to do anything else. Most weekends and several weekday nights have been devoted to coming up with new ideas and samples for workshops. I have been struggling for some time to maintain this pace, but I know I can’t carry on like this. I am completely exhausted and I have to find a better work life balance for my own sake as well as that of my family.
I had intended to have one last session of workshops before winding things up. But I will no longer be able to do this. I have recently been given the chance to apply for a new post in my previous career. Although I may not be successful I have to go for this chance as jobs in this field are few and far between. The timing is not ideal, as I had hoped to wind up the business after Christmas, have a few months off to recharge the batteries and then look for a job.
I am truly sorry to disappoint any customers who may have been looking forward to the new workshop list. There won’t be one as such. I am hoping to be able to run a few classes in September once I have a better idea of timescales. I will post any developments on the website.
The shop will remain open in some form or other as planned until January or February. And we will still be ordering stock for a month or two. I will do my best to fulfil any customer order’s. I also plan to make up a couple of new display boards with Christmas project ideas using new stamps and papers that are due in soon.
The business is for sale if there is any one out there interested. If only I was 20 years younger……….!!
We are having an open day on Saturday 31st July from 10am to 4pm. Siobhan will be using a wide range of products from Ranger Industries including Distress Inks, Grunge Paper, Alcohol Inks and many more. For anyone who loves Tim Holtz’s amazing creations and products, then this is the one for you.
As usual you can drop in to see what’s going on and help yourself to a refreshment.
Rather than do a few deals on Ranger products, we are having a 10% Day. That’s 10% of everything including sale items and loyalty points for non-sale items.
We are now stocking a new range of die-cut decoupage called the Nitwit Collections. I am not usually fond of decoupage as many of you know, but I thought these were lovely. They include whimsical designs of sheep, bunnies, cats and dogs and a couple of cute Christmas designs. You can also buy the designs as clear stamps. There are co-ordinating papers to go with the whole range although I have just a few at the moment and the rest are due in soon. They are good quality and great for a quick card or two!! They are priced at £1.60.
Here’s a peek of a couple I made up.
