Irene and Jean organized an away day to Crafty Individuals down near Darlington. This took place on Saturday 28th February. We left Perth at 5am in a mini-bus with driver, picked up a few people at Ferry Toll and drove down to Yarm. We arrived (13 of us) around 10am to the community centre that Jean Hardy uses for many of her workshops. Jean is the very talented artist who designs stamps and papers for her company Crafty Individuals. The other half of the team is Malcolm who is a photographer. They have a good website with lots of gallery pages for inspiration (www.craftyindividuals.co.uk)
Jean showed us a few ideas to get started then we all made stamped panels to mount onto foam board and then framed to make a picture. This project was featured in the January edition of Craft Stamper. We had a good pub lunch and a chance to catch up with each other. So all in all it was a good day. Jean and Malcolm made us feel very welcome. For me personally it was lovely not to be running the workshop.
So thanks to Irene and Jean for all the organizing. Malcolm kindly took photos of all our completed panels and has sent me a disc with them all on so I could put them on the website. Which I have now done. Go to the Gallery Pages and look for Crafty Individuals to see our efforts.
