Circle Journal

I have just put another two circle journals onto the gallery for anyone interested in seeing them.

Alice in Wonderland

After attending Liz Urquhart’s “Wall Hanging” workshop I was inspired to have a go at making a picture for my daughter Catriona’s birthday. She loves Alice in Wonderland. A few years ago I bought an un-mounted sheet of stamps of Alice in Wonderland images from the Stamp Man in Skipton. I had never got round to using them before and I was quite pleased with the finished piece. Catriona seemed pleased with it anyway!!

Circle Journal

Last October a group of 6 of us started a circle journal. We each picked a theme for our journal. We made the covers, typed up an introduction and rules page. The idea was we met once a month for a drink and a natter and passed the journals onto to the next person in the group. We did not see our own journals again until we finished the last swap earlier this month. We met for a meal and oohed and ahhed over our finished journals. Everyone put in alot of effort and it was lovely to see the results. I will be putting them on the website for anyone that would like to see them. I plan to get Jean’s up tonight.

The group was as follows :

Jean Batchelor – Oriental Dolls

Lin Connelly – Circle of Friends

Siobhan Fyffe – Birds of a Feather

Irene Ruddy – Favourite Stamps

Linda Turner – Words of Wisdom

Liz Young – Simple Pleasures

We intend to start another swap later in the year.
